Tip of the Day: When I first started sharing fitness selfies, I had no clue how to take a good one. I am by no means a professional sweat sesh selfie taker, but I must admit I’ve had a few years of practice ((not sure if that’s a good thing to admit lol ;)) The one thing that I’ve found matters most, and something that may help you get more accurate progress assessments, is lighting. Soft lighting pouring in through a window directly on your body with a mirror placed on the same wall as that window is my favorite! I used to take progress pictures in a gym bathroom with fluorescent lighting and put it side by side next to a picture with natural lighting, which made it so hard to compare. If you’re taking progress pictures regularly, be sure to take them in the same place with the same lighting (and same time of the day for that lighting!)
