ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: What about treats? How often can I have them? Well, first off, let me say I enjoy treats on occasion and I highly suggest you do the same! Mentally, it’s what sustains balance; a balanced meal plan creates lasting results because it’s easiest to stick to. Physiologically, treat meals on occasion can rev up the metabolism, showing physical benefits in moderation. What works for me and what I often suggest is two treats per week. I typically like to enjoy one mid-week and one on the weekend. My mid-week treat is one that fits into the LG Meal Plan treat guidelines to allow for splurge foods while staying on track (( I talk all about how to do that in Eat Your Way Lean )) while my weekend treat is one that is more of an indulgence. Also, the mid-week treat could be considered a treat item, such as FroYo while the weekend treat is more of a treat meal (( 3 courses of treats, anyone lol )). My top treat tip is to save the treat for the end of the day so that it’s confined to one meal instead of a full day of treating. Overall, treats should be enjoyed guilt-free, so don’t fret over a treat on occasion!

I’ve found FroYo to be a wonderful option for keeping treats within the LG Meal Plan guidelines in terms of building them into our food plates without getting off track! I’m always satisfied without feeling stuffed after this treat!
