Tip of the Day: Today, I have a tip that I’m writing to myself as well as you. As you know, I’m about a week and a half away from my wedding day! I’m trying to get ahead on work, tie up a bazillion loose ends for the wedding, prepare for my family coming into town, deal with a back injury/doctor appointments, and trying my best to enjoy it all. But, my situation is not uncommon…I’m sure you have more items than you can count on two hands that you’re currently dealing with too! It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed and like we’re not doing enough. I came across a quote by Oprah saying, “true forgiveness is when you can say ‘thank you for that experience.'” I immediately thought of this in terms of forgiving others, but how often do we forgive ourselves?! Can you look for a lesson in whatever you’re experiencing?? The world will beat on us enough that it’s important we are our strongest cheerleader. Take a moment and forgive yourself! I definitely need to do the same…it’s okay that I don’t yet have my wedding programs or escort cards finalized – I forgive myself! It’s okay that you snacked in between meals, lost your temper with your husband, and are a week behind on the laundry – forgive yourself! Forgiveness is freedom and it allows us to move forward, feeling lighter! Let’s forgive and believe that we are exactly where we are supposed to be doing what we are supposed to be at this very moment! We’ve got this!
