Shoulders (#LGKickStartFit Day 12) – 1/15

Workout Check In:
My two top areas of focus on my body lately are shoulders and legs. Shapely shoulders give the arm an overall fit look, and it’s a body part my bride-to-be self has a particular interest in ((also great for tank tops)) Today’s workout combines isolating exercises and compound movements to really define those shoulders and give them a nice shape.

Healthy Habit #12: (( MUSIC ))
Music can make or break a workout. That statement sounds silly, but tell me if you can relate to both of these scenarios 1) MAKE – you’re working out an every time you need to dig deep, a kickass jam comes on and it makes you feel like you’re on top of the world: unstoppable  2) BREAK – in between sets, you hitting next, next, next, next, and next times twenty until you find a song you like, which ends up taking five minutes: irritated. Have either of those happened to you?! For this reason, I suggest making music playlists specifically for the gym a healthy habit you pick up. For me, I like all types of music in general, but in the gym I’m all about rap and electric music, so I create my playlists accordingly. Find what type of music works for you and create a 60 minute playlist so you have enough to work with during a workout; this way, you’ll be in the zone throughout your entire workout!
