Tip of the Day: Pick one thing at the end of today and another thing at the end of the week that you will use as motivation to work hard!
This weekend I passed up a few social things because I wanted to get ahead on some work. Have you ever starred at your computer screen for 15 minutes realizing you haven’t made a since ounce of progress – yeah, that was totally me! So, I told myself that if I completed x, y, and z, then I would celebrate with a glass of champagne. Now, for those of you who know me well by now – I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve drank in the past year. Still, the message is to celebrate small victories on a regular basis! 
So often we focus on the things we did not complete, on the missed opportunities, or on the goals we did not reach. These thoughts do not serve us; in fact, they hold us in the past. When we can get in the habit of looking forward (ie: if I do ___fill in the blank___, then I will reward myself with ___fill in the blank__), then we can begin to achieve! I’m a big believer in the power of paper and pen, so I encourage you to jot down two items that will serve as motivation for your day and for your week. Then, identify exactly what you will have to accomplish to earn that! I bet you’ll find yourself accomplishing that much faster than you would have otherwise!
