TIP OF THE DAY: How is your new years going? I’m sure everyone is geared up for a big year of goals and as a health & fitness enthusiast, I have many healthy priorities on my list as well. The biggest piece of advice I can give for those of you setting goals is to keep them realistic! A huge mistake when it comes to getting on a new program is to jump in too deep initially, which is usually followed by giving up all together. Ease into things. For instance, if your ultimate goal is to get to the gym every day, begin with going every other day then 5 days per week then every day. Apply the same technique to all your goals, and hopefully they will be long lasting!

So glad to be back to boxing again! ALLELUIA 🙂
Don’t live & die by the calorie count on your heart rate monitor or cardio machine. Especially for HIIT, the burned calorie count may seem a little low. However, with rests and your heart rate being high and low, that is normal. The benefits of HIIT is the calorie burning that takes place after your workout & throughout the day!

FitnessBarbie Style: Started school today – good things I have these cozy, adorable shoes for class. Is it normal for a pair of shoes to bring a smile to your face every time you look at your feet?! Oh well 😉
