I admit it – I HATE ab exercises. I enjoy the feeling of a muscle pump and I don’t get that from crunches and leg raises. However, I’ve made it my goal to train abs 2-3x per week. Funny thing is, when I was in high school, I did ab exercises daily and had no visible abdominal definition; these days, I do 10 crunches per week and have more noticeable abs. Two words: food quality.

I was doing some “work” outside under the beautiful, warm sunshine and it reminded me how I am able to live exactly the life I wanted once I realized I was the sole creator in my life. I grew up in drabby, cold Wisconsin and worked summers as a babysitter. Back then, I thought my life was pretty darn good, but it lacked one thing: fulfillment. There is a difference between good and great; it’s a difference you don’t realize until you have truly great things in your life. I moved to Texas where I can lead an active lifestyle 12 months out of the year and be do work that overwhelms me with joy and satisfaction. No matter what you’re passionate about in life, embrace it wholeheartedly and make it what you are about. When you remove mediocracy from your life, you make room for greatness!
