Tip of the Day: Working out early in the morning isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but sometimes your schedule leans towards waking up extra early to get to the gym! My top tip for early morning workouts is preparation, which begins the night before. First off, I like to have my workout plan ready to go so that I’m not wasting time in the gym wondering what I’m going to do next. I lay out a complete gym outfit and am always sure to include all the details from socks to hair bands to my water bottle. Finally, set that alarm and give yourself 10-15 minutes more than you think you’ll need; this allows for mishaps, such as a little traffic or tending to something that arises unexpectedly.
Daily Dose of Motivation: This moment – right here, right now – is a precious moment you will
never be able to get back. Are you making the most of each moment of
your life? Something that has helped me better live in the moment is to
let go of one word from my vocabulary – “busy.” We are all busy bees! In
my opinion, “I’m so busy” is a weak excuse for having a bad attitude or
not getting something done, and it stands in the way of making the most
of each moment. Learn to be present in the moment and let go of the
worries of the future or the burdens of the past; breath because living
in the moment could just be the meaning of life.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: What are your tips for getting up early for the gym?

I am an early riser and always go to the gym at 6am before work! One thing I am not sure about – do you eat before? I do my strength workout and some HIIT cardio, so I eat something small before I go, but figure it mostly doesn't last long. On the other hand, I can not get up earlier than 5am, otherwise I miss on too much sleep. Recommendations?
Same problem with me. If i will not have my breakfast before I go to the gym, I will be too tired the rest of the day….any suggestions?
