TIP OF THE DAY: The
scale seems to be every woman’s greatest enemy! I can honestly say I
have not weighed myself in months nor do I even own a scale! Reason why:
today my boyfriend used his scale that supposedly provides body weight,
body fat, body water, muscle percentage, bone mass, calorie consumption
and BMI. Anyone who knows health & fitness would know these numbers
are anything but accurate from a scale reading and these scale claims
are a total joke – yes, I mean that! The only accurate readings of these
numbers come from hydrostatic body fat testing which involves
underwater weighing. Today, my boyfriend hopped on his “magic scale” and
it provided him a weight of 228.6 and bf of 7% only to be later weighed
in with a bf of 33.8%. In reality, his body fat is around 12-13%. I get
so many ladies telling me how the scale depresses them; this makes me
so sad! These readings are inaccurate and are misinforming you in both
positive & negative ways! How about this….look in the mirror and
use that as a determinant of your hard work is paying off! Please don’t
let a silly number make or break you; YOU define yourself not a scale
reading!
