TIP OF THE DAY: Soft vs. hard looks. Some of you may have read about looks appearing “soft” and “hard.” When I first heard these terms being thrown around in the fitness industry, I didn’t know if they were synonymous with overweight and thin or what. A softer appearance is one that can still be lean, but shows less muscle definition and tends to have a little higher body fat percentage. Contrary, a hard appearance is one that has a lower body fat percentage and therefore the look is more muscular and defined. Both these looks can be achieved by the same person, and I’ve been having fun lately testing how I can achieve both soft and hard appearances with my own body by varying my macros, workouts, etc.
For the past little bit, I’ve been playing with a “softer” look; personally, I like to find a balance between the two – appearing fit yet feminine
Daily Dose of Motivation: I’ve shared before that I think one of the biggest double standards is the critique of people’s physiques. Just as a full figured individual should love their bodies, so should a small framed individual. I’ve been called “too thin” “skinny” “twig-like” “anorexic,” etc. While many individuals wouldn’t think twice about using those terms, words like “fat,” “chubby,” “overweight,” “heavy,” etc. are considered taboo. I think this is a wonderful message to share. Love yourself for who you are. Keep in mind… speaking mean words does not depict the person you are talking about, rather they are a reflection of you.

I've really enjoyed viewing your blogs each day. Great advice, tips, workouts, etc. Like you, I like to mix things up in the gym and try to make it fun yet challenging at the same time! I was wondering if you do you cardio sessions in the morning or typically after/ within your workouts. Thanks for always Fitspiring 😉

I've been following you on Instagram and am so thrilled that you post these workouts. How many reps of each of the arms exercises do you do?

    Thanks again!
