ConfidenceKini Body Tip of the Day: Here’s some wonderful news…your scale will no longer serve you, so why don’t you just get rid of that darn thing?! First off, I want you to know that you are so much more than just a number. Secondly, it’s important to understand the scale cannot accurately display the progress you’re making with me and my plans! That’s not just my opinion, but rather fact, and I’ll explain why ((you’re going to love this)). Body weight is nothing more than a vertical force exerted by one’s body mass as a results of gravity…who cares about that, right?! Body composition, on the other hand, refers to the percentages of fat and muscle, among other things, that the body is comprised of. The scale, however, cannot accurately measure body composition. Using the LG Meal Plan, we are working to decrease overall body fat to reveal the muscle we’ve worked hard to achieve through weight training ((=fit & lean body)). I love to measure these changes through progress pictures, tape measurements, and noticing changes in the ways my clothing fits. The scale, for me, has gone up 8lbs since I began my journey, while my dress size has dropped. Bottom line…ditch the scale and build your ConfidenceKini body by noticing changes in your body composition!

My physical progress is best captured in my mid-section. As a teenager, my top goal was to achieve abs. I did it all wrong: low calorie diets, binging, excess cardio, and more crunches I could ever count. I didn’t know how to enjoy healthy living, so I had difficult time sticking with it. That couldn’t be further from who I am today, and now, I’m on a mission to help everyone see abdominal definition because it depicts something much greater; it captures dedication to both exercise and healthy eating as well as an attitude of persistence that helps us reach all our goals!
