The 5 Minute Make Up Routine that Makes Me Feel Alive

This 5 minute make up routine is simple and easy, but the effects are big for me. During this time of social distancing, many of us are homebound. It’s tempting to not get ready and stay on comfy cozys all day, but as someone who is a “work from home veteran,” I know that a little effort in your look can help increase your productivity. A little bit of make up, a few brushes of my hair and a new outfit help make me feel alive especially during these crazy times. Here is the 5 minute make up routine I’ve been doing.

CC Cream | here

This CC cream has good coverage yet feels light, and it gives such a beautiful color and glow to your skin. I wear the shade light/medium.

Foundation Brush | here

I am not one who has expensive, fancy brushes; in fact, this may be 1 of 3 nice brushes I own. I think this one is worth the money because it makes the CC cream (or any foundation) go on so smooth and has an airbrushed effect.

Concealer | here

Currently obsessed with this one. It’s so creamy so I don’t get that icky, cracked under eye look after a few hours of wear. It totally brightens the entire under eye area, which is great for my dark circles. Worth the splurge!

Blush | here

I just bought this palette and it is ridiculously beautiful. My other favorite blush is Wet + Wild. I love blush for a simple make up look because it adds so much color and dimension even when you’re just using a few products.

Eyebrow Crayon | here

I’m not an eyebrow expert by any means, so when I got into the eye brow game this is what I tried. It’s literally “goof-proof” because it you make a mistake, it easily blends and the final results always looks great! I am shade 3 in this.

Brow Gel | here

I always finish my brows with this. A structured brow gives a simple make up look a chic and polished finish.

Mascara Primer | here        Mascara | here

The final step in my make up routine, which brings everything together. This primer + mascara combo is so good that I wrote an entire blog post on it my application tips, read that HERE
