My patio has always been my happy place. It means so much to me to have an outdoor space where I can relax and spend time with my family.
Now, this is not my typical room reveal blog post because this space is far from finished. In fact, we are just beginning. I thought it may be more fun to let this blog post serve as a work in progress and update it as furniture arrives and add things. I really need to take some new photos because it’s come further along since this, but I’m already ready for a patio refresh.
Below are links to everything you’ve already seen on my patio as well as a refresh of items I am adding.
AND, I am sharing a peek at our pool design. This spring, we decided we wanted to do a backyard pool. We found a great company, designed the pool and even hired a backyard landscape designer to finish it off perfectly. Then, we got cold feet. My boys are 3 and 5… they can both swim without floaties; I am confident in Leo’s swimming but Beckham is about 1 summer away. The worrier in me (and Anthony!) put the pool on pause until fall or early next spring, but we still cannot wait!
Also, we put together the best patio playlist. It’s such a vibe. It’s 100+ songs that we listen to daily!

I bought this to use as my console table.
POOL DESIGN
I really wanted a simple and sleek rectangular pool. Below is actually not even the pool design. The landscape architect/designer put these renderings together. The pool is a rectangle with a built in hot tub and spa.
I’ve always envisioned a very lush, garden-like yard, so we are going to go over the top with landscape (Anthony says this is a bit too much, so I’m sure we will settle somewhere in the middle).
With a simple pool design, I really wanted a focal point behind the pool. I could not be happier with the structure. I love how the curtains give it a cabana-like vibe yet it’s super functional.
The patio at my last home was such a hit too, so I’ll link that blog post with all furniture details here too!
