Legs/Plyometrics:
-25 squats (warm up)
Giant Set #1
-box squats (pictured)
-jumping alternating lunges
-side leg lifts (standing or laying on side)
…rest & repeat 2-3x
Giant Set #2
-pop squats
-box jumps
-step ups
…rest & repeat 2-3x
Giant Set #3
-star jumps
-step through lunges (forward lunge into back lunge into forward lunge, etc.)
-donkey kicks
…rest & repeat 2-3x
*Feel free to add weights to any of these movements for an added challenge
TIP OF THE DAY: This type of leg/plyometric workout is a great addition to the bikini body series or for anyone looking to keep those legs tight. I alternate between a leg workout with heavy weights & traditional weight training movements (ie: barbell squats, leg press, lunges, etc) and a lighter weight/plyometric workout, such as today’s. The two compliment each other very well; plyometrics and the explosiveness they entail actually help build strength for more traditional weight training workouts!
