For this week’s combo pack (meal plan & 5 workouts):
I’ve been keeping my meals pretty much the same but upping the intensity of my workouts. I am already noticing some progress. The best motivation is seeing your hard work pay off. It’s a rewarding and motivating cycle: work hard, see progress, work harder, see more progress!

Tip of the Day: Eliminate artificial sweeteners to help prevent bloating. LOTS of questions on bloating, and I completely understand why. You can eat good all day, have a great workout, then look in the mirror and see a bloated belly. I know the feeling and it’s frustrating. A lot of sweeteners have been linked to bloating and allow me to further explain. Sweeteners – the sugar substitutes – serve a “benefit” in that they are low in calories and often sugar free, sweetening food without the guilt. However, many of these sweeteners contain sugar alcohols, which ferment in the intestines, causing bloating. Also, artificial sweeteners can increase overall sugar cravings! When reading nutrition labels, look for sucralose, aspartame, sugar alcohol, and acesulfame k just to name a few. I like to stick to stevia (a natural, sugar free sweetener) in moderation.

Love the tip! I can always tell a difference when cutting out or back on artificial sweetners. The bloat is just not worth it 🙂
Totally agree!
Good to know, thanks! I'm a diet pop freak so this will give me motivation to cut back and then eliminated the stuff. I hate feeling bloated.
Aw, I'm glad! I have a few friends hooked on diet coke & they always notice great results when they stop drinking diet soda even just for a few days!
