It’s Monday…get that booty fired up and moving for a great week! When I start my Monday off with a bang, it sets the tone for my entire week.

Tip of the Day: Cook with fresh herbs! When I first began cooking healthy foods, I was overly conscious of a “bland” and “boring” taste. I quickly learned choosing the right spices and seasoning made all the difference. As I continue to expand my skills in the kitchen, I’ve been using a lot of fresh herbs in cooking. The taste of fresh herbs versus those in bottles are drastic. I find it easiest to either chop with a knife or throw in a food processor if chopped herbs are desired when cooking. Basil is one of my favorite herbs to cook with and tastes delicious with Mediterranean inspired dishes. My very favorite is to make a homemade pesto sauce with it!
