Dollar a Day Training: Cardio machines are a love hate relationship: they’re convenient, yet become quite boring after awhile. This cardio workout will get your booty  burning and heart rate up with plyometric movements, followed by inclined walking. On today’s downloadable dollar are time specifications, incline and speed recommendations, and the full ab circuit with descriptions of movements.

Eat Clean to Get Lean: I LOVE citrus water! I’ve seen a lot of “detox” drink recipes circulating around the Internet that promise several pounds dropped from lemon water type drinks. While that  won’t happen, there are wonderful benefits of citrus water, specifically lemon water!
(1) Lemons are packed full of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin c, potassium, iron, and calcium – did you know there’s actually more potassium in a lemon than a banana?!
(2) Lemons loosen up toxins in the digestive tract, promoting healthy digestion as well as reducing other indigestion symptoms, such as heartburn.
(3) Lemon juice provides the body with a natural energy boost

Personal goal – repeat this daily affirmation 10x
I wasn’t planning on sharing messages with these affirmations because I believe there is something powerful about allowing these to resonate with each individual, but this one is so personal to me, especially as of late. The most powerful realization I ever had was that I have control over my thoughts and mind… my overwhelming zest for living and loving and my genuine happiness stem from my perspective on life and positivity. However, I admittedly have a difficult time understanding how others cannot be accepting of this love, kindness, and happiness that I have to share. I am guilty of going out of my way to be nice to those who mistreat me, and I will continue to do so over and over to prove this exact point. When others are not accepting of the love and kindness you have to offer, it is a direct reflection of their own inner struggles. Do not be pulled into their storm, instead continue to bring them into your peace. Happiness wins hands down. Always.

    Hey Lauren!
Thanks again for the kick butt {literally} workouts! I'm wondering if you're open to the idea of monthly memberships for your dollar a day training tips? I'm thinking something like $20 up front every month via an automatic credit card payment. Just a thought so that those of us purchasing every day can save a few bucks (and avoid logging into Paypal and receiving a gazillion confirmation emails everyday) and you can count on a more solid/steady monthly income. Thanks again and keep it up!

      Hi Sydney,
I totally think that's a wonderful idea! But would you believe I don't have these workouts written out for the full month ahead of time =X (I need to perfect my time management skils). If I could find some serious time to set aside and write each of these for the month at a time, it would def be a great option! Thank you for your feedback, and I definitely may be asking you and others for more feedback in the future so I can modify to what's easiest for you!

I LOOOOOOVED this workout! Challenging, but doable. Plus, I was super sweaty afterward 🙂 The only thing I would have changed was putting the ab workout before the cardio. I was too tired after the HIIT routine to really give my all to the core work,

Lauren, how many times per week would you recommend doing a HIIT routine like this? Should it be done after a strength workout or on separate days by itself? I am looking to drop 10-15 pounds by December (1 lbs/week).

Woohoo – always feel free to do it before! For me, I like cardio first as it tends to "warm up" my abs. Personally, I do this once per week and occasionally add a light cardio circuit or steady state in, which I specify in the dollar a day downloads. I would add this in 2-3x per week. Switch it up! Try all my HIIT cardio workouts 🙂
