College Graduation
Thank you all so much for the heartfelt comments and messages regarding my graduation. While to some this may be just another day, to me, it is such a milestone. School has always been my “arena” or my “court” to display some of my talents; academics are a huge part of who I am and where my happiness comes from. You get what you give when it comes to learning, which is why I enjoy is so much. I also think it’s important to highlight this part of my life because a lot of you look to me for for motivation in attaining a healthy lifestyle; to me, a healthy lifestyle is multifaceted and does not just center on working out and eating clean. I encourage you to pursue health in many dimensions.

I believe education is the most powerful
tool you can possess. I believe in working as hard as you possibly can
to make your dreams come true. People often tell me I’m crazy to pursue a
career that requires years & years of school; truth be told, I
think they’re crazy for not to wanting to experience the feeling of
pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone. I’ve had to make sacrifices
to get where I am today. However, not a lot of people will ever say they
walked across their graduation stage with those three simple words
following their name: summa cum laude; I’ve never wanted to be ordinary.

Dream it, work hard at it, and achieve it!
I would not be where I am today without the support of my amazing family. I have parents who constantly support me, encourage me, and beleive in me. Once science majors themselves, they know the rigor of what my courses entail. Yet, they never doubt my wildest dreams. I am so grateful to have such a loving and supportive family!
My boyfriend, best friend, and other half started this crazy journey with me and we are ending it together. It’s difficult for a relationship to withstand the pressures of college, but it’s easier when you date your best friend. We are both very independent, but even stronger together. If there is anyone more proud of my accomplishments than me, it is this handsome man.
Let’s get to the fun stuff…. graduation outfits. Many of you were asking where my graduation dresses were from. In typical Lauren style, I had several graduation dresses (from Alice + Olivia peplum to lace Anthropologie, but finally settled on two from Lulus (not lululemon but go figure) which were both very inexpensive, yet beautiful. Both were impeccably tailored, which in my opinion makes the outfit. Outfit links are attached below.
The color was even better in person & the picture doesn’t do the front detail of the hemline justice. Loved this one!
Fun & flirty. This color was so beautiful & the back was amazing!

Congratulations Lauren!
You're definitely anything but ordinary.
I know this blog is predominantly fitness-related, but would you please consider doing a post about school? I'm your age and also have 5/6 years of school to go (sigh…) and I'd love to hear some of your tips and tricks for keeping a good work/study/life balance and for studying so effectively; graduating summa cum laude is such an achievement and it obviously means your study skills are fantastic (and that you're incredibly intelligent, but hey! 😛 ).
Big love and congrats once again!

Thank you so much, Jessica. Surely, I've received a lot of questions on how I manage my time as a student, so I will def make a post or a video blog regarding that!

Congratulations Lauren!!
This is definitely a huge achievement and you should be very proud of yourself!! I was also a science mayor and the curriculum is very rigorous but we did it!!! And now you are even more inpirational to me. Being able to balance the kind of lifestyle that you have and succeed at every aspect of it is very impressive. I always had an excuse to not work out. It was either school is to hectic or I wante to spend more time with my bf..the excuses are endless. You you once again showed me that with hard work and dedication everything is possible. I agree with the last post it would be great for us if you write a post on how you manage to work everything out in your busy schedule. Like you, I also have more years of school to go (dental school) and my dream is to be able to fit everything that's important to me in the hectic schedule and succeed at them. Right now I'm in the process of retaking my DATs next month and applying for this coming up cycle. What's next for you? Med school?
Thank you so much for those sweet words! I'm going for dentistry as well! I'm actually in the process of studying for the DAT (fun fun :/). What schools are you applying to?
