TIP OF THE DAY: HIIT (high intensity interval training) seems to be the go-to workout these days for maximum benefit in a minimum amount of time. However, it’s always important to assess both the pros and cons of everything in order to reap the most out of your workouts. HIIT alternates between periods of intensive exercise with shorter periods of rest or light exercise. HIIT workouts are great at burning greater total calories and therefore, yielding a greater fat calorie burn as well as increasing the EPOC or excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, equating to calories being burned following exercise. Still, HIIT is very easily over done. Because it is a type of exercise that is quite hard on the body, sufficient recovery time is required. The latest studies recommend HIIT style workouts 2-4x per week from anywhere to just 10minutes up to 30minutes per session.
is the face of a spoiled girl 😀 My amazing mom just did my weekly
grocery shopping, prepped all my meals for the week (stove-top, oven, and
grill all at once), AND even came home with a half passion, half green
unsweetened iced tea for me!
You're right! I used to do HIIT everyday and it was too much for my body. And – your abs are amazing! 🙂
Totally agree! Thanks love
