So we now have a Q&A Monday, so why not a training tip Thursday?! I’ve found that when I work out with individuals who possess weight lifting experience, they know just how to switch up a movement or alter your form during a workout to better target the muscle and enhance the benefits of a workout. For instance, the best squat position to target the glutes or a tip on keeping your elbows motionless to better enhance your bicep workout. Every Thursday I will be sharing some training tips and techniques that I have found to be most beneficial and provide better and quicker results! Hope they assist some of you on your goals!
Training Tip Thursday:
Balance training is something I love doing when I’m using lighter
weights or short on time. Instead of preforming exercises while seated
or holding onto something – in other words – stabilized, exercises
will become more effective and more challenging if you do them standing
up, or on one leg, or even while standing on a Bosu ball. When you add
in this additional challenge, you are now forcing yourself to balance as well
as lifting, which engages your core muscles! Lifting weights while
adding the balance factor will provide for an overall stronger body and
target more muscle groups at once! You can squeeze in an ab workout with your normal weight training!
