When it comes to gaining and losing fat, typically, the first place you gain is the last place you lose. For me, I can see results first in my abdomen and my legs take a little longer to lean out, so I was quite happy today to see some results in leg definition!

Tip of the Day: Finding motivation in things outside of your normal realm can inspire you more than you may think. Background – I’m not a marathon runner, biker, or swimmer, but this weekend the Ironman Texas was going on in my community; it’s an amazing event consisting of 140.6 miles of swimming, biking then running, which brings out the entire community! Like I mentioned, I have no real interest in the sport, so I wasn’t expecting to be motivated by watching, but I could not have been more wrong. The screaming cheers from the individuals that lined the route (family and friends of the athletes, but also complete strangers) gave me goose bumps and watching individuals cross the finish line while hearing “you are an ironman” brought tears to my eyes. Witnessing individuals reach their goals – even though they may be different form your own – provides an incredible amount of inspiration. There really is something to be said about who you surround yourself with. Simply being in the presence of these phenomenal athletes was a motivation I could feel. I encourage you to find events around your community to experience feats that inspire.

Nice definition on your quads and calves (and everywhere, really!). Two questions, but I'm not sure if this too personal. First, how tall are you? Second, a bit silly, do you tan or use tanning products? If so, what do you recommend?
