For this week’s combo pack (meal plan & 5 workouts):
Progress. Progress. Progress. I’ve been able to see some progress by increasing the intensity of my workouts, focusing on taking sets to failure. I have the tendency to stop short, knowing I could go for more reps, so I’ve been pushing myself with that! AND I haven’t been on a cardio machine in weeks – this bodyweight cardio is bomb.com

Tip of the Day: Don’t be afraid to take a rest day! When your goals are in the forefront of your mind, you may feel guilty taking a day or two off from the gym – don’t! Overtraining is stressful on your body. In fact, any sort of physical exercise is a stress your body must endure; given that you’re healthy and taking in the necessary nutrients, your body can repair the broken down muscles. Still, it is important to give you body a break one to two days per week! If the idea of a rest day drives you bonkers, make it an active rest day be engaging in light exercise, such as a walk with your significant other, a dance party with your children, or swimming with your friends. Keep in mind, stress can make it more difficult for your body to burn fat, so make it a habit to let your body rest and recover! Live that balanced life 🙂
You look fantastic! And that is a great tip, I tend to get really wrapped up in working out and planning for my next pure barre class or my next gym session that I forget to give me body time to relax and to repair my muscles.
It's not easy, but so crucial!
