Cardio Day – 10/27

Cardio Day – (HIIT – high intensity interval training)
-5 min walking (warm up)
-25 min:
     -1min jump rope
     -15 burpees
     -45 sec rest
…repeat…
-5 min walking (cool down)

This workout was awesome – heart pumping, sweaty, feel those calories burning off type of cardio 😉 If you don’t have a jump rope, substitute for jumping jacks or sprints!

TIP OF THE DAY: Keeping your muscles fed throughout cardio is a concept you should be familiar with. Preforming any type of exercise, especially cardio, is a stress added to the body (funny to think of working out as actually stressing your body). Your body may turn to muscle as fuel if you are in deficiencies, such as lacking protein or carbs. When doing cardio, your biggest fear should be burning off muscle
that you just did days worth of squats for; this is one of the main reasons I don’t like seeing ladies doing fasted cardio or working out without having enough food fuel in them, especially if they are not using the correct supplements.

This is evident in the differences in body type between a long distance runner and a sprinter!
How do I keep my body fed during cardio? I take Chain’d Out, which is a branch chain amino acid product (branch chains acting as the building blocks of protein). Chain’d Out works to prevent this muscle breakdown and provides focus and endurance! Great product & great taste!
