MEET MEGAN:

How did you get started with your health and fitness journey?

I’ve always gone to the gym regularly, ever since I was in high school. I’ve also always said that I eat “healthy”. After doing intense kickboxing classes, working with personal trainers, etc. I decided it was time I do something different. In June I started doing the LG workouts and in Oct I began working with a macro coach to get my eating on point. This combination has been life changing for me. I finally found workouts that incorporate everything I’m looking for — cardio & stregth training in just the right amounts!

 

What about weight training specifically do you love?

I love how it challenges me and the feeling of acomplishment when I’m done. And of course, when you are sore after…you know you did something right!

 

What’s one obstacle you’ve hit and how did you overcome it?

I have always gone to the gym, worked out hard on a regular basis…it was getting my eating under control that was my biggest obstacle. I started really watching my macros and decreased the amount of calories I was taking in. Now, the way I eat is a norm and making heathly choices is no longer a challenge but my new lifestyle.

 

We all seem to crave a balanced, healthy lifestyle. How do you go about living that way?

Creating habits with the nutrition and excercise make it all seem a little easier. Those used to be the things that caused me the most stress. Now that I have a good workout routine (Just finished the 30×30) and knowing how much and what I need to be eating, it makes it more seemless when life throws me curveballs.

 

How has the LG Accountability Community played a role in your success?

I really love the workouts and seeing other people are doing them with me. I have a workout buddy at the gym, but for the most part I’m doing them on my own every day. Having that community behind me has been really motivating. I have about 5 other friends that I have introduced to the LG plans. It’s fun to talk about the workouts and what body part is the most sore 😉

 

What advice would you share with a fellow LG Sister looking to get healthier and happier?

Find a workout program that you love and look forward to doing everyday or you are just going to loathe it. Lean on others for recipe ideas, snack options, meal prep tips that are going to fit into your schedule. Everyone is different and what one person is doing may not be the right option for you. Find what works for you and stick to it! I finally found my groove and I have never been healthier or happier!
