Legs (Quad Emphasis) & Calves Circuit (Week 5) -12/2

-Close stance leg press
     superset with jump squats
-Smith machine close stance front squats
     superset with 1 min cardio
-Dumbbell walking lunges
     superset with frog jumps
-Leg extensions
     superset with 1 min cardio
-Calf press on leg press machine
     superset with 1 min cardio

It’s fat loss time! Workout intensity has been turned up! I don’t always split up my leg training into two separate days, but this week I’m trying out a new split with one day dedicated to quads and the other to hamstrings/glutes. From my experience, the mind-muscle connection really comes into play here; feeeeel those quads pulling and pushing the weight in today’s workout.
Tip of the Day: “Take
care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live in.” We are so
proud of the homes we build or the families we create, yet it’s less
common to be proud of the bodies we build. Don’t get me wrong, I believe
the true measure of a person is the beauty that lies within but it’s
important to love the body you carry around day after day. I didn’t
always love the way I looked and I wasn’t always confident in who I was,
but a healthy lifestyle has brought me there.
