SWIMWEAR FOR EVERY SHAPE & BUDGET + LG BOOK CLUB MAY PICK

Well don’t we have quite a lot going on today. First off, I have the May pick for our LG Book Club to share. And… swimwear! It’s an LG Sisters catch up session over here.

-SWIMWEAR FOR EVERY SHAPE + BUDGET-

Yesterday’s Daily Photo Challenge was to share a swimsuit you would rock with all this new confidence you’ve been building during the challenge. As I was looking at swimwear, I thought, why not put together some cute options.

1. Off Shoulder Ruffle One Piece here
2. High Neck Scalloped Bikini here
3. High Waisted Two Piece here
4. Neon Detail Bikini here
5. Deep Cut Pink One Pice here
6. Black Mesh One Piece here
7. Sheer Tie Skirt here

-LG BOOK CLUB-

Our unofficial book club began on Instagram over a year ago. So many of us love to share what we are reading, so I thought it would be fun to make it official. Every month, I’ll pick a book (suggestions always welcome!). One book a month is do-able for both avid readers and those of us who maybe aren’t the best at keeping up with free reading. Haha- I haven’t heard the term free reading since middle school.
Last month, this was our pick. What did you think of it?
I’ll be perfectly honest… I still have yet to finish it. I had really high hopes for the book but I fell off a bit. That happens to me with some personal development-ish reads. I purchased the book and study guide because I wanted to get the most out of it. That’s maybe where I went wrong because I felt like I couldn’t just leisurely read.
For May, I’m actually picking two books. They are very different but I want you to be able to choose based on where you’re at this month.

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo

I’ve read this book before and got some great pointers from it. I am picking this for May because it’s spring cleaning season and it’s refreshing to purge. I feel there’s a big movement towards simplicity, reducing clutter and living more peacefully; this book has a system for that, so it’s a great pick if you want to get not only your home but also your life in order.

Option B by Adam Grand and Sheryl Sandberg

This is the book I’m picking of the two for myself. Sheryl Sandberg wrote the ever-so-popular book “Lean In.” I read it and liked her writing style… she pretty much just talks to you and throws in facts, which I enjoy.

Sandberg’s husband tragically died not too long ago and in this book she writes to those going through difficult times. I ordered this book immediately after hearing her on a press interview; in it, she talked about how to accept and embrace option B when option A just isn’t available. Can’t we all relate to that?!

I know not everyone is looking for help coping with tough times, so that’s why this month I wanted to pick two options. This book just isn’t about death. Yes, that’s what she’s going through and shares her story on that but it’s applicable to anyone facing an obstacle. I’m only a few chapters in and the 3 P’s she discusses have already applied so much to my life.
